Carrick-a-Rede (meaning Rock in the Road) Rope Bridge connects the cliffs of the North Coast of County Antrim to the tiny island of Carrickarede. Suspended almost 100 ft (30 m) above sea level, the rope bridge was first erected by salmon fishermen over 250 years ago.
