'Space'

There was oncw a time I didn’t think about space. I guess because I had so much of it.
Space for long baths or short weekend breaks. The space to nip to the shops, to book a last minute gym glass or to read in silence.
But now. There is very little space.
Days and silence and arms are full.
There’s So little space in my mind. It’s filled with new worries, new songs and new lists.
There is no space in my bed, no space between where I end and you begin. Always touching or being touched.

But while my mind is at capacity it seems my heart has only made room.
There are doors and corridors and entire rooms of it I didn’t know existed until you came into my life and took up all the space.
And so I sit here, surrounded and tired and never alone. In a place where there is no one I would rather share my space with.
Take up as much room as you need.
